The Stockton (Calif.) Ports of the Class A California League hired Nikki Pruett as director of group sales, David Nielsen as group account executive and David Espinoza as a ticket account executive.

Maloof Sports and Entertainment, owner of the Sacramento Kings and Monarchs, hired Katie Flanigan as an account executive.

Global Spectrum named Nate Finkel director of sales and marketing for the Mullins Center at the University of Massachusetts and Abey Coker marketing manager for the Colonial Center at the University of South Carolina.

Office Depot Center promoted Jeff Campol to vice president/general manager of Incredible Ice, the Florida Panthers’ practice facility.

American Seating named Steven Dahlquist vice president of sales and marketing.



The Amarillo (Texas) Gorillas of the Central Hockey League hired Darren McLean as director of business operations. Previously McLean worked as an assistant general manager with the Fayetteville (N.C.) FireAntz.

Churchill Downs appointed Stacey Meier director of marketing. Meier most recently served as director of marketing for the Churchill Downs Simulcast Network.

The Hutt Sports Group promoted J.P. Holland to executive vice president and chief operating officer. Holland was previously

vice president, business development.

Warschawski hired Chris Daley as a junior associate.

Comcast SportsNet promoted Tom Stathakes to senior vice president of programming/senior executive producer and Bob Ayars to senior vice president of technical operations.

Fox Sports Net Midwest named Joel Goldberg, former sports reporter and anchor at KTVI-TV in St. Louis, as a reporter on the “Midwest Sports Report.”

ESPN The Magazine named Perry van der Meer managing editor and Catriona Ni Aolain photography director. Van der Meer was managing editor of Tracks, and Ni Aolain was director of photography at Premiere.

Peter Morrice joined Golf Digest as a senior editor.

Sportvision Inc. hired John LaCroix as art director and Jonathan Corl as coordinating producer.

The Los Angeles Galaxy promoted Tom Payne from director of business development to vice president of programming and business development, and hired Blake Linney and Juan Pinzon as account executives.

The Milwaukee Wave of the Major Indoor Soccer League hired Jenny Gryniewicz as director of ticket sales and Stacy Hinze as director of public and media relations. Krista Momsen was named director of marketing and game operations, Molly Rosera director of marketing services and Web site development, and Nichole Scott director of community relations.

Richard Paysor was named general manager of RWI Racing.

New Balance promoted Fran Allen to executive vice president of sales for the United States and Canada and Joe Preston to vice president of international.

Comcast-Spectacor Chairman Ed Snider won the 2005 Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce William Penn Award.

The U.S. Tennis Association named 2005-06 officers for its board of directors: Franklin Johnson, chairman of the board and president; Jane Brown Grimes, first vice president; Lucy Garvin, vice president; Gordon Smith, vice president; and James Chaffin, secretary-treasurer.

Marcia Luigs was elected chairman of the U.S. Golf Association Women’s Committee for 2005. Roberta Bolduc was elected first vice chairman and Barbara Douglas second vice chairman.
