Funding:
Total cost projected at $362 million for stadium construction and $70 million
for land acquisition, $80 million for architect and consultant fees. Private
funding is projected at $332 million, coming from a $180 million loan from FleetBoston
to the team, a $125 million loan from the NFL's stadium loan fund, and revenue
from the sale of PSLs. The commonwealth of Pennsylvania and city of Philadelphia
will contribute an estimated $180 million. The city's portion will be collected
through a 2 percent car rental tax. The $85 million state portion will be provided
through grants. The Eagles retain the proceeds of Lincoln Financial Group's
20-year, $139.6 million naming-rights deal for the facility.
