A guide to sports degree and certificate programs
Published June 9, 2003
Editor's note: The directory featured in this week's special report identifies colleges and universities that offer educational programs in the field of sports management. The schools are grouped by region, according to the map presented here.
This directory is an annual presentation by SportsBusiness Journal. For this compilation, we contacted each of the schools listed in the directories we have published in past years, as well as additional schools brought to our attention as having sports management programs. In total, more than 200 institutions were contacted and invited to complete a survey here. Schools that did not respond to repeated requests to provide information about their programs are not included here.
Because of the large number of survey responses we received, schools were limited to a listing of 10 companies and organizations where students have held internships. A list of degree abbreviations appears at the end of the directory.
