NEW DEALS
Philadelphia-based SMG was awarded a contract to continue managing New Soldier Field, the ancillary parking facilities and surrounding parklands in Chicago. The contract was awarded by the Chicago Park District.
BUSINESS NOTES
Miami-based The Pharmed Group Corp., an independent distributor of medical, surgical and pharmaceutical supplies, named football Hall of Fame coach Don Shula to its board of advisers. Shula will represent the company's interests primarily in Ohio in conjunction with a recent agreement with Cleveland-based University Hospital Health Systems.
