Huffy Sports Co., manufacturer of home and institutional basketball systems, was awarded Vendor of the Year — Logistics Hardlines by The Sports Authority Inc.
A Canadian Football League commercial titled "Butt Baby" won a gold medal in the television single category of the Bessie Awards, recognizing excellence in Canadian television commercials. The commercial was produced by ad agency Bensimon-Byrne D'Arcy.
