Vikings near deal extension with U.S. Bank

The Minnesota Vikings are close to reaching an agreement with U.S. Bank on a potential three-year sponsorship extension, industry sources said.
The annual dollar value of the deal would be in the six figures, the sources said.
Under terms of a new agreement, U.S. Bank would remain the official hometown bank of the Vikings. Details are sketchy, but elements of a new deal would include advertising time on local radio broadcasts of Vikings games, print ads and a major presence on vikings.com. U.S. Bank also would be the presenting sponsor of a Vikings regular-season home game this coming season.
Vikings officials declined comment. U.S. Bank officials were unavailable for immediate comment.
