 Wild joins the 'Mush' rush

The Minnesota Wild's 10,000 Rinks Foundation will sponsor participation of sled dog musher Keith Aili in this year's Iditarod Sled Dog Marathon, which begins in Anchorage, Alaska, on March 2. Aili, a native of Ray, Minn., is the owner of Wolf Ridge Dog Kennel there. It is home to 80 racing Alaskan husky sled dogs — he will be the only participant in this year's race who breeds his own dogs. The 10,000 Rinks Foundation and the Minnesota Wild Teen Room at St. Paul Children's Hospital will share proceeds generated from donations.

 PGA Tour renews deal

The PGA Tour and Pro Tour Memorabilia renewed their PGA Tour memorabilia license agreement. Pro Tour Memorabilia will continue producing a collection of tour-branded, officially licensed items of memorabilia featuring members and legends of the PGA Tour and Senior PGA Tour. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

 Indy in cycle race alliance

IMS Productions, the video production and broadcasting arm of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, agreed to a production and marketing alliance with motorcycle sanctioning body AMA Pro Racing and Jam Sports, AMA's new Supercross promotional partner. IMS Productions initially will assist on long-term television plans for the AMA U.S. Supercross Championship, beginning with the 2003 season. Developmental assistance will include a hand in contract negotiations, as well as the design and development of AMA broadcasts, including talent selection and support programming. The three organizations will cross-market AMA Supercross and other AMA Pro Racing series with the Indy Racing League and other IMS motorsports properties.
