SALT LAKE 2002
Published October 1, 2001
The Salt Lake Organizing Committee announced two new suppliers last week. GMT Corp., a provider of human capital management solutions, will donate software and services to manage the scheduling of the 30,000 staff and volunteers for the 2002 Olympic Winter and Paralympic Winter Games. In conjunction with SchlumbergerSema, a worldwide Olympic partner, and Monster.com, a U.S. Olympic sponsor, the SLOC will use the GMT Planet Series as the infrastructure to build and manage a central database for the tracking and scheduling of the staff and volunteers needed for the 2002 Games. SLOC also selected Vermont-based World Cup Supply Inc. as the supplier of racing gates for all alpine skiing and snowboard events.
