Salt Lake Organizing Committee has designed a pin in hopes of raising money for those affected by the Sept. 11 national tragedies. Proceeds will benefit The September 11th Fund, which was established by the United Way and the New York Community Trust. The pin, retailing for $5, features a representation of the American flag and the words "We Stand United." As of last week, 2002 Games sponsor Jet Set Sports had purchased 5,000 pins, and TOP sponsor Coca-Cola Co. had purchased 10,000, to be distributed to its staff and the SLOC staff.
