Former All Black Richie McCaw Reflects On '15 RWC In World Rugby Video

Not "content with fighting fires and running across mountains," former All Black captain Richie McCaw has become a commentator in his rugby retirement, according to STUFF. World Rugby produced a 100-minute video of McCaw "talking viewers through the All Blacks' epic 2015 Rugby World Cup final win over the Wallabies at Twickenham." Posted on Monday, it has already had 230,000 views on World Rugby's Facebook page and "sees McCaw reflecting on the game -- and letting people into his mindset both on and off the field." Among the "many highlights," McCaw talked about how he "had been at pains to avoid a mistake made in the 2011 final at Eden Park." He said, "In 2011, when I got handed the trophy, we had, well, a bit of a faux pas with a three-way handshake -- Bernard Lapasset [the-then Int'l Rugby Board chair], myself and the Prime Minister [John Key]." McCaw also revisited his halftime talk to his team, emphasizing he "wasn't a yeller or a screamer," but he "probably had a few words of emphasis in amongst it" (STUFF, 12/28).
