Marketplace Roundup: Wahoo Fitness Partners With Katusha-Alpecin Cycling

Wahoo Fitness announced its second Int'l Cycling Union (UCI) WorldTour team partnership for '18, adding the Katusha-Alpecin cycling team, led by four-time world time trial champion Tony Martin and Tour de France green jersey winner Marcel Kittel. Beginning in '18, the team will utilize Wahoo's bluetooth-enabled TICKR heart rate monitor, along with the ELEMNT BOLT GPS head unit (Wahoo Fitness).

The Beobank-Corendon cycling team will be named Corendon-Circus in '18 and will race on Canyon bikes. The changes were announced on Wednesday "but there was one key constant," in that rider Mathieu van der Poel "will continue to lead the line," having signed a contract extension through '20. The new name comes as Beobank steps aside as lead title sponsor after two years. Turkish airline Corendon, which joined as title sponsor at the same time, "steps up to the lead slot," and Belgian betting company Circus was added as a sponsor (CYCLING NEWS, 12/27).
