Super Fight League Promoters To Invest $30M Over Next Three Years

Indian MMA organization Super Fight League promoters -- British business magnate and sports enthusiast Bil Dosanjh and two-time world champion boxer Amir Khan -- are "looking at an additional investment" of Rs 200 crore ($30M) in the league over the next 3 years, according to Gaurav Laghate of the ECONOMIC TIMES. The promoters also signed MTV India as SFL's telecast partner "to target youth audiences." This will be "the first time that the youth channel will be entering into sports broadcasting." Super Fight League CEO Dosanjh said, "MTV is the channel that resonates strongly with the youth of today and this association will help build the sport amongst the millennial generation and more participation from the youth. ... We have spent almost Rs 250 crore ($37.6M) in the past five years and are looking to invest a further Rs 200 crore over the next three years" (ECONOMIC TIMES, 12/18).
