Finance Notes: Scottish Premiership Side Kilmarnock Reports £968,000 Profit

Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock reported a trading profit of £967,672 for the year ended May 30. It is a "substantial improvement" on the previous year when the club posted a loss of £69,089. The figures include the transfer fee received from the sale of striker Souleymane Coulibaly to Egyptian club Al Ahly in January. There was also a £300,000 increase in gate receipts on the previous year, an 8% increase on season ticket sales and a rise in commercial income (BBC, 12/4).

FIA reportedly has an option on a 20% stake in Formula E. FIA documents "have come to light" that show the share option was offered as part of the negotiations when Formula E "got the green light" in '14 after FIA granted its Hong Kong-based parent company, Formula E Holdings, a license to operate the series until '38. It was previously thought that FIA's involvement was restricted to receiving 20% "of the net capital gains of FEH shareholders when they sell their stakes." The share option gives FIA a "financial cushion" as it is a not-for-profit organization (London TELEGRAPH, 12/3).

Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag announced Yunfeng Capital will become a "major shareholder" in Enova Holdings Ltd., Formula E's regional partner in Greater China. The decision will allow Formula E to "grow its presence within Greater China, boosting the prospects of the series in one of the most influential electric vehicle markets in the world" (SPEEDWAY DIGEST, 12/4).
