Media Notes: U.S. Broadcaster CBS Sports To Carry Basketball Hall Of Fame Belfast Classic

The Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic is teaming up with CBS Sports Network, which will televise the two-day basketball tournament from Dec. 1-2. The network will televise two live games per day, while thousands of fans are expected to attend the games at Belfast's SSE Arena. It will be the first NCAA basketball tournament played in Europe (IRISH NEWS, 11/2).

 "continues to expand the reach" of Eurosport 1 HD in Germany. Starting Tuesday, the sports channel will be available on the cable networks of PŸUR, the new brand of Tele Columbus. Eurosport 1 HD will join subscription packages pureTV HD and advanceTV HD (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 11/6).

Televisa reached a five-year agreement with Liga MX side Tigres to broadcast the team's home games starting next year. The deal spans both pay-TV and free-to-air coverage in Mexico (RAPID TV NEWS, 11/6).
