UFC Partners With AirAsia For Outfit's First-Ever Airline Deal

UFC unveiled the MMA outfit’s first-ever airline deal, bringing on AirAsia as a partner for the Asia and Australia regions. The partnership began Saturday around UFC 217 at Madison Square Garden. AirAsia will begin its activation for the deal on Nov. 25 around UFC Fight Night at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai. The airline will have signage and branding inside the octagon at the Shanghai event and other int'l UFC events next year. AirAsia will also be presenting sponsor for the UFC Fan Experience throughout the region. Both UFC and AirAsia did the deal without an outside agency.

Meanwhile, UFC and energy drink brand BodyArmor on Thursday at The Pennsy in N.Y. unveiled a UFC-specific flavor, dubbed "Knockout Punch." BodyArmor last month became UFC’s official sports drink. Four UFC fighters will be brand ambassadors for BodyArmor -- Cody Garbrandt, Francis Ngannou, Cynthia Calvillo and Michelle Waterson. Kobe Bryant, a BodyArmor investor, attended Thursday's event alongside UFC President Dana White and BodyArmor co-Founder & Chair Mike Repole.
