Marketplace Roundup: British Basketball All-Stars Names Betway Title Sponsor

The 2017 British Basketball All-Stars Championship named gambling company Betway its new title sponsor. The tournament will take place at the O2 Arena on Sept. 24. It will be broadcast live in more than 70 countries around the world. The British Basketball All-Stars Championship has a £100,000 ($130,000) prize fund, including £20,000 ($26,000) to the champion (Betway).

Scottish Premiership side Rangers confirmed an extended partnership with betting company Ladbrokes, which will continue as the club's retail betting partner for the '17-18 and '18-19 seasons. The company will provide all betting services at Ibrox Stadium during the campaigns (Rangers).

Serie A side Napoli named online gambling operator Planetwin365 its official betting partner for the next two seasons. The sponsorship will see the Planetwin365 logo "adorned on the Stadio San Paolo" as well as on post-match interview backdrops and the club's social media page (GAMBLING INSIDER, 9/5).

La Liga and media company Perform Group announced the creation of the La Liga Official Data Centre, which will be responsible for ensuring La Liga maximizes the use of official match data. La Liga will utilize Perform's sports data collection, distribution and commercialization expertise in the media, professional analysis and betting sectors. The five-year agreement starts with the '17-18 season (Perform Group).

The Belgian Jupiler Pro League named sports data company STATS its official tracking and performance data provider for the next three years. STATS will provide the league and its clubs with player tracking data through STATS SportVU and athlete monitoring insights via STATS Dynamix (STATS).

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) announced laundry brand Dixan as an official partner. The partnership began Tuesday when Italy faced Israel in a 2018 World Cup Qualifier. The brand will also have a presence during friendly matches (FIGC).

Hyundai Motor Company
dropped its seven-year sponsorship of the China Ladies Open, "which leaves the event without a title sponsor for this year’s tournament." It is "unknown whether Hyundai's decision to drop its title sponsorship will cause a schedule change to this year's tournament" (ASIA SPONSORSHIP NEWS, 9/5).

UFC and Reebok introduced their new UFC Fight Night collection, which features updated versions of the UFC walkout jersey, UFC walkout hoodie, UFC octagon shorts and UFC walkout hats. Headlining the collection is the Legacy Series -- a program that pairs UFC athletes who are either headlining a PPV event or competing in a championship bout with Reebok's design team to co-design a UFC Fight Night walkout jersey (UFC).

The 2018 Int'l Table Tennis Federation Team World Cup named online gambling company 12BET its official betting and gambling sponsor. The event will take place at London's Copper Box Arena From Feb. 22-25 (CALVIN AYRE, 9/5).

The 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Corp. (GOLDOC) named Winc (formerly Staples) the official office and stationery supplier for the 2018 CWG. Winc has been working with the GOLDOC for more than two years, providing a range of office stationery and supply solutions, including indigenous Australian-owned product lines to support the GOLDOC's workforce (GOLDOC).
