Man City Manager Pep Guardiola will move into the club's new "state-of-the-art dressing room" next week after work on the Etihad's redevelopment has been completed, according to Jack Gaughan of the London DAILY MAIL. The renovated circular home room is "based on the concept at the club's plush training complex nearby on campus." Man City has been "mindful of upgrading" its facilities "in line with European rivals." That includes a "complete revamp of the first team space underneath the Colin Bell Stand" and a hospitality suite coined Tunnel Club, as well as new rooms for visiting teams and officials. Club execs were "keen to own the latest advancements in preparation and recovery tools," with new hydrotherapy pools set to be installed for players to use immediately after games. Additional warm-up areas have also been built. The changing areas had not been altered since '11 and the club was "wary of falling behind direct rivals at home and in the Champions League." Guardiola reportedly gave feedback and "ultimately signed off on his new office at the Etihad," with the project in motion before the club "lured him from Bayern Munich last year." Both Man City and its opponents will be "on display in front of the corporate supporters through a glass tunnel as they head out" for kickoff. Broadcast interviews will also be "in full view" (
