Australian Football League side Gold Coast sacked coach RODNEY EADE after three "disappointing" seasons at the helm. The club, which finished 16th and 15th in the past two years, respectively, started the season with "expectations of a first finals appearance" since the club's '11 inception, but has "only managed six wins with three rounds remaining." Assistant DEAN SOLOMON will "take over as interim coach" (AAP, 8/7). ... Lagardère Sports announced a reorganization of its consulting division and experiential marketing team at Rooftop2 Productions, which Lagardère acquired last August. Lagardère Sports Exec VP/Global Consulting KERN EGAN has been promoted to president of consulting for the Americas. Egan, an SBJ/SBD “Forty Under 40” honoree in ’11, will focus on developing the agency’s capabilities. He will continue to report to Lagardère Sports President & CEO of the Americas ANDY PIERCE. Lagardère Sports also promoted SVP/Consulting DAVE CAGIANELLO to exec VP/consulting and Rooftop2 Productions COO MARC TAROZZI to EVP. Both will continue to report to Egan. Several execs with the Rooftop2 team also had their roles adjusted. SCOTT LASKY is now SVP/creative and GENNARO SCARPELLI is now SVP/events. RYAN HALKETT moved over to the Lagardère Sports side as SVP/sports experiences (THE DAILY). ... Sports media exec DANIEL COHEN was named SVP of newly-launched Octagon Media Rights Consulting (SPORTS AGENT BLOG, 8/7).
