Media Notes: Deutsche Telekom To Launch Multi-Screen Sports TV Package

German telecom Deutsche Telekom will offer a new multi-screen sports TV package from Aug. 2. Telekom Sport can be "subscribed to" from €9.95 ($13.01) per month. It contains, through Sky Sport Kompakt, Sky Deutschland's "conference coverage" of the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League, "as well as all games of the Handball Bundesliga," among others (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 7/27).

Mobile platform developer Bleachr partnered with Lagardère Sports to develop a custom mobile application to amplify the live experience at the Washington Open tennis tournament. Bleachr's platform will connect fans in-venue through notifications, messaging and a variety of streams. The app will be the first collaboration for Bleachr and Lagardère Sports (Bleachr).

The FIBA 3x3 YouTube channel reached 50 million all-time views. The channel has grown at a torrid pace in '17. More than 18 million views were recorded this year. The '17 figures are already 46% better than those from '16 (FIBA).

The France vs. Switzerland Women’s Euro 2017 match on Wednesday, which ended 1-1, drew 3.3 million viewers on France 3. The number translated to a 16% market share. The match achieved a peak audience of 4.4 million (L’ÉQUIPE, 7/27).
