Tottenham Names Hewlett Packard IT Networking & Wireless Infrastructure Partner

Tottenham announced a partnership deal with Hewlett Packard Enterprise to ensure its new stadium is "one of the world's leading venues in terms of technology," according to the London EVENING STANDARD. The club is planning to move into its new stadium -- currently being built at its White Hart Lane base -- for the '18-19 season. The new 61,500-seat stadium will also host two NFL games a year as part of a 10-year agreement. The north London club, which previously had HP as its kit sponsor, named the brand its official IT networking & wireless infrastructure partner. Tottenham said in a statement, "As a result, the stadium’s IT infrastructure is being incorporated from the ground up, enabling connectivity across the entire venue for visitors and flexibility to cater to future demands" (EVENING STANDARD, 7/11).

CAPACITY CROWDS: In London, James Benge reported Tottenham sold all 40,000 tickets for Wembley Stadium as it prepares for "a year away from White Hart Lane." Manager Mauricio Pochettino's side will play its '17-18 home games at the national stadium. The team "can be confident of playing in front of capacity crowds" after selling all the season tickets made available with "nearly five weeks to go before the new campaign begins" (EVENING STANDARD, 7/11).
