Marketplace Roundup: Juventus Partners With Online Gambling Company Betfair

Juventus announced online gambling company Betfair will become the club's official gaming and betting digital partner from the '17-18 season. Betfair will be able to use Juventus' name and image rights in its promotional material in Italy and around the world. Betfair branding will be visible inside Allianz Stadium, Juventus Training Center and in a variety of publications across the team's digital channels (Juventus).

Man City signed a "new deal with travel agent Thomas Cook's sports holiday business." The agreement makes Thomas Cook Sport the club's official supporter travel partner ahead of its '17-18 campaign. Spanning the next three years, the contract "will see the company provide official hotel and ticket packages for fans" (BDAILY, 7/4).

Online betting brand bwin was confirmed as the "first-ever title sponsor" of 3.Liga, which is the third tier of club football in Germany. The deal will cover the '17-18 and '18-19 seasons, marking the "first time that the league has had a main sponsor" since its formation in '08. The agreement will also see the Austrian-based company have its logo "adorn the sleeves of competing teams' playing shirts, as well as throughout stadiums and across online and print club media" (SOCCEREX, 7/4).

League Championship side Hull City agreed to a two-year extension with the University of Hull as its official training partner. The University of Hull's branding will continue to be seen on the club's training wear, and the first team's training base in Cottingham will continue to be known as the University of Hull Training Ground (Hull City).

Serie A side SPAL Ferrara signed a four-year apparel agreement with Italian sportswear company Macron. The brand will provide the club's men's and women's teams with home and away strips, as well as training wear for players and technical staff, from the start of the '17-18 season. It will also have a "strong brand presence" at the Stadio Paolo Mazza. The financial terms have not been released (SOCCEREX, 7/5).

League Championship side Preston North End named Soccer Supplement the club's official nutrition partner for the '17-18 season. The brand will offer PNE season ticket holders the chance to purchase products at a discounted rate (PNE).

Serie A side Atalanta announced a three-year partnership agreement with UBI Banca Group, which will become the club's official bank (Atalanta).

Swimmer Mireia Belmonte signed a four-year deal with Speedo Int'l. That will "keep her in the brand until at least the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and through her 30th birthday." (SWIM SWAM, 7/4).

Swiss Paralympic announced it extended its partnership with Swiss Int'l Airlines (SWISS) until '20. The partnership makes SWISS the official airline of the national paralympic committee (IPC).

EuroLeague Basketball named DraftKings its official fantasy partner. DraftKings plans to develop a variety of fantasy-products based on the EuroLeague (EuroLeague).

The French Football Federation signed a partnership with French candy maker Carambar & Co, through its Poulain brand. The group signed a four-year deal (FFF).
