Facility Notes: Headingley Stadium's South Stand To Be Demolished In August

A date has been announced for the start of demolition at Headingley Stadium to "allow a major revamp of the rugby and cricket facilities." Super League rugby club Leeds Rhinos confirmed the South Stand, first opened in 1931, "is to be demolished at the end of August." The "final rugby league game with the stand in situ" will be held on Aug. 18, the club said (BBC, 6/28).

Arsenal Ladies agreed to a deal to continue playing home games at National League side Boreham Wood's Meadow Park until '27, along with Arsenal's youth teams. Boreham Wood's ground is "undergoing refurbishments this summer." League Two side Barnet's The Hive hosted Arsenal for the '17 Spring Series as a new pitch was laid at Meadow Park (BBC, 6/27).
