Marketplace Roundup: NBA Youth Program Partners With Basketball Scotland

The NBA's youth program is "heading to Edinburgh after announcing a partnership with Basketball Scotland." The link-up will "see a school-based basketball league set up for boys and girls aged 11-12, with each co-ed side representing one of the 30 NBA teams." Players will be "kitted out in their corresponding NBA team-branded jerseys" (BBC, 6/21).

Next season, the Turkish top-tier basketball league will have a new name -- Tahincioğlu Basketball Super League. Infront Sports & Media signed the title sponsorship with the real estate company for three years, through the end of the '19-20 season. As title sponsor, Tahincioğlu benefits from a composite logo used throughout the season. The logo will be integrated among TV inserts, LED boards around the court, on the jerseys of all 16 teams, court stickers, foot mats, zeppelins and across all communication platforms (Infront).

Distiller J Wray and Nephew Limited, under its Magnum Tonic Wine brand, "pledged to continue supporting" the Kingston & St. Andrew FA Super and Major Leagues (JAMAICA GLEANER, 6/21).

Wenlock Spring was unveiled as the official water supplier of Star Sixes -- "a new world six-a-side tournament" featuring former int'l footballers. The four-day competition will be staged at The O2 in London from July 13-16. The event is organized by Pitch Int'l in partnership with the Football Champions Tour (SHROPSHIRE LIVE, 6/20).
