Tottenham Hotspur will play Chelsea in its first Premier League match at Wembley Stadium, according to Anthony Hollis of the LONDON TIMES. Spurs will play their home league games at the national stadium next season while White Hart Lane is being rebuilt and "their first visitor could not be more daunting." Chelsea will begin its title defense with a home game against Burnley, while Tottenham will travel to Newcastle United for its opening match of the season, which is scheduled to take place on Aug. 12. Huddersfield Town’s first top-flight match in 45 years will take place at Crystal Palace's Selhurst Park -- "coincidentally the same opponent and venue as their last top-flight match" in April '72. The first Manchester derby of the season will take place at Old Trafford on Dec. 9, the same weekend the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton is due to take place at Anfield. The dates of the fixtures "are still set to change significantly," however, once TV companies Sky Sports and BT Sport make their choices for live coverage (LONDON TIMES, 6/14).
