League Notes: Putin Signed Order To Approve Anti-Doping Measures

The Russian government announced President Vladimir Putin "signed an order for a set of anti-doping measures that the government shall approve before June 20." The national anti-doping plan for sports was "adopted" by Russia's Independent Public Anti-Doping Commission on Feb. 1, according to the order published on the Kremlin's website (XINHUA, 6/13).

The BCCI accepted the Committee of Administrators' decision to give a one-time benefit of Rs 35 lakh ($53,000) to 13 former cricketers who played between one and nine Tests for India after '70. A source in the BCCI said that acting Secretary Amitabh Choudhary "assured" the COA that the decision will be approved on June 26 (PTI, 6/13).
