Less than a month after leaving ESPN as senior VP, global research & analytics, ARTIE BULGRIN has landed a new job with MediaScience, where he will start in September as EVP, strategy & insights. MediaScience describes itself as "lab-based audience research," using facial expressions and eye tracking technology to gauge what TV viewers watch (John Ourand, Staff Writer). ... Leicester City owner King Power Group completed its purchase of Belgian club Oud-Heverlee Leuven. King Power CEO AIYAWATT SRIVADDHANAPRABHA, who is Leicester's vice-chair, was appointed to the Belgian club's board after a 92% acquisition was finalized. Two more members of Leicester's staff -- CEO SUSAN WHELAN and Dir of Football JON RUDKIN -- will join Srivaddhanaprabha on OHL's board (SKY SPORTS, 6/12).
COACHES/MANAGERS: Serie A side Fiorentina officially appointed former player GIANCARLO ANTOGNONI as its new team manager. Antognoni returned to Fiorentina in January as a VP, but he will now assume a more "hands-on role, acting as the link between the squad and those upstairs" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 6/12). ... Former Leinster, Connacht and Ireland player BERNARD JACKMAN was appointed the new head coach of Pro12 side Newport Gwent Dragons. Jackman will "take formal control next week" as his predecessor, KINGSLEY JONES, moves on to work with the Welsh Rugby Union's Exiles program (RTÉ, 6/12).
