Spain's Superior Sports Council Notes 'Advances' In Meeting With FEB, ACB

Spain's Superior Sports Council (CSD) noted "advances" after a meeting on Monday with a joint commission of the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) and Spanish Basketball League (ACB), "which will create a proposal about the format of the ACB at the next meeting," according to the EFE. Monday's meeting "was the first between the ACB and the FEB with the moderation of the CSD." The parties addressed the number of teams in the ACB -- the league's teams that also compete in the EuroLeague want fewer games -- "and modifying the promotion and relegation system" (EFE, 6/12).
