Frenchman MARC TRUFFAUT was elected president of the Int'l Federation for Intellectual Disability Sport (INAS) at the INAS general assembly in Brisbane, replacing Brazilian AMAURY RUSSO. Truffaut will be joined on the board by Australian ROBYN SMITH, who was re-elected VP, and American BARRY HOLMAN, who will remain as secretary general (IPC). ... Bloomberg Media named ANDREW BENETT to the newly-created role of global CCO, serving on the organization’s exec leadership team. Benett, most recently global CEO of Havas Creative Group, "will assume global responsibility for Bloomberg Media’s sales, advertising operations, integrated franchises, consulting and marketing services." He will report to Bloomberg Media CEO JUSTIN SMITH (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 6/7). ... Outgoing retailer Harvey Nichols Group Marketing & Creative Dir SHADI HALLIWELL will join mobile network Three as CMO on Sept. 4. She will succeed TOM MALLESCHITZ. Prior to joining Harvey Nichols in April '14, Halliwell spent 23 years at O2 and its predecessor, BT Cellnet, in a "series of roles," eventually becoming head of brand. During her time there, she "oversaw the relaunch of the former Millennium Dome as The O2" (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 6/6).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Juventus Manager MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI signed a new contract with the Serie A champion until '20. Allegri, 49, has "steered" the club to three successive Serie A titles, two Champions League finals and three Coppa Italia triumphs since replacing ANTONIO CONTE in July '14 (BBC, 6/7). ... Ligue 1 side Nantes said that Manager SÉRGIO CONCEIÇÃO left the club to take charge of Portuguese side Porto. The former Portugal winger "worked wonders in his short spell with Nantes." When Conceição took charge in December, the club was "languishing" in 19th place, but went on to finish seventh (AP, 6/7). ... A-League side Wellington Phoenix unveiled DARIJE KALEZIĆ as its new coach, with RADO VIDOŠIĆ his assistant. After a playing career in Bosnia and the Netherlands, the 47-year-old Kalezić had managerial stints in the Netherlands, Belgium and England (AAP, 6/7). ... W-League side Sydney FC appointed ANTE JURIC as its new head coach for the '17-18 season. Juric, a former Socceroo, was an assistant at the club from '08-09 and has more recently been head coach of the Australian women's national U17 and U19 teams (Sydney FC).

IN SPAIN: La Liga side Alavés hired LUIS ZUBELDÍA as manager for the next two seasons. Zubeldía left Colombian first division side Independiente de Medellín on Wednesday. He replaces MAURICIO PELLEGRINO (AS, 6/7). ... Spanish Basketball League (ACB) side Barcelona sacked coach GEORGIOS BARTZOKAS. The Greek coach, whom Barcelona hired last summer, had one more year on his contract, which has been rescinded (EL PAÍS, 6/7). ... ACB club Fuenlabrada coach JOSÉ RAMÓN CUSPINERA resigned from his position after two years. Fuenlabrada finished this season in 12th place in the ACB (EFE, 6/7). ... Relegated La Liga side Osasuna confirmed that it fired coach PETAR VASILJEVIĆ. Prior to coaching the club, Vasiljević was the club's sporting director (MARCA, 6/7).
