Media Notes: Top14 To Be Shown On Free-TV In Fiji

Top14 rugby will be shown live on free-to-air TV for the first time in Fiji after the Fiji Broadcasting Corp. announced it secured the rights to show the league. Top14 is a "major" draw for Fiji as a number of Fijian internationals participate in it. FBC TBV will show a featured match each week with playoffs, semifinals and finals live (FBC).

Poker Central is "launching Poker Go, a poker subscription service that will feature many of poker’s biggest live events." The launch of Poker Central’s live digital and VOD network follows the recent rights acquisition of the World Series of Poker and TV distribution deals with NBC Sports Network and ESPN, which "complete its shift from a linear network to an OTT service" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 5/22).
