Event Notes: All Blacks To Play Springboks In Cape Town On Oct. 8

The All Blacks will "head to Cape Town for the first time in nearly a decade during this year's Rugby Championship." South African Rugby announced the Springboks' home test against the All Blacks will be played in Cape Town on Oct. 8. The venue in Cape Town is "waiting sign off, with Newlands needing a safety certificate to be approved" (NEW ZEALAND HERALD, 5/24).

The 2017 Indonesia Open badminton tournament will take place at the Jakarta Convention Center in South Jakarta on June 12-18, with "more than 300 shuttlers from 21 countries." Players will compete for a $1M prize, the "highest in the Super Series" (JAKARTA GLOBE, 5/23).

AC Milan's game against Inter Milan set for China this July has been canceled because of a "conflict with the Europa League." Milan is "assured of a sixth-placed finish in Serie A, qualifying them for the Europa League third qualifying round, starting July 27" (ESPN.com, 5/23).

World Shooting Para Sport announced Bangkok, Thailand, was added to the '17 competition, which will be held from Nov. 8-11. Around 120 athletes from 25 countries are expected to compete and try to qualify for the 2018 World Shooting Para Sport Championships (Int'l Paralympic Committee).
