Chelsea Tops EPL Prize Money Table; Runner-Up Tottenham Third-Highest Earner

Tottenham Hotspur may have finished runner-up to champion Chelsea in the Premier League table but it was "only the third-highest earning club when it comes to prize money for the season," according to Jack Austin of the London INDEPENDENT. Chelsea earned "more money than the rest" but Man City "raked in more money despite finishing below" Tottenham in the league, while fifth-placed Arsenal was awarded less than sixth-placed ManU. Chelsea received £38M ($49.4M) for finishing "top of the pile," while Sunderland earned £1.9M ($2.5M) (INDEPENDENT, 5/22).
