Canterbury CEO Raelene Castle's Message To Club CEOs Creates Rift

An email from National Rugby League side Canterbury Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle to her fellow club CEOs is "threatening to expose the simmering tension at Belmore" between Castle and club Chair Ray Dib, according to Michael Chammas of the SYDNEY MORNING HERALD. Castle, who is one of four CEOs on the salary cap advisory committee, "sent an email to all club bosses on Thursday morning, asking them to sign a letter of complaint" against the Rugby League Players Association for "breaching negotiation protocols" by meeting with a select group of chairs on Monday. The email has reportedly "not gone down well" in some quarters, "notably" with the New Zealander's own chair, Dib, who helped organize the meeting with the RLPA on Monday. Dib was not aware the email was being sent out and, according to rival club bosses, was not "impressed" (SMH, 5/12).
