Leyton Orient Faces Second Winding Up Order Over Outstanding Debts

League Two side Leyton Orient's former stewarding company "formally applied for a winding up order over an outstanding debt" of £18,600 ($24,000), according to SKY SPORTS. Centre Circle Event Management is one of four creditors that appeared at a High Court hearing on March 20 when Leyton Orient Owner Francesco Becchetti promised to put £1M ($1.29M) into the club to "settle all outstanding debts." Club CEO Alessandro Angelieri informed the court Bechetti would put £1M into the club "within eight to 10 weeks." Orient was given until June 12 to "clear all money owed" but Centre Circle Event Management, which stopped providing stewarding for Orient in March, confirmed it has had "no contact with the club since" (SKY SPORTS, 5/8).
