The 35-year-old collapsed during a training session with his Gabonese club, 105 Libreville (BBC, 4/27). ... Female Iranian football player SHIVA AMINI was "dropped from her country's national team for not wearing a hijab in a friendly match." Amini was on a tour of Switzerland and Italy when she "took part in an exhibition game alongside male players recently." Amini's offense was discovered after photographs of the match in Zurich were posted on Instagram showing her wearing shorts and "playing without a veil." The garment has been "compulsory dress" for women in Iran since the Islamic Revolution in '79 (RT, 4/27).
