BERNARD DUNNE was confirmed as the new high performance director of the Irish Athletic Boxing Association. The role -- previously held by BILLY WALSH before his move to the U.S. -- will see Dunne work with head coach ZAUR ANITA at the new high performance unit in the National Sports Campus in Abbotstown (IRISH TIMES, 4/27). ... McLaren Technology Group announced three new hires. DHARPAN RANDHAWA joined as SVP of partnership development Asia, alongside MARC-ELIE ROBERT as SVP of partnership development EMEA. In addition, NICK MARTIN took on the post of SVP of strategic partnerships (McLaren). ... Eutelsat's board of directors submitted for approval the appointment of DOMINIQUE D'HINNIN as director of Eutelsat Communications. If approved, D'Hinnin will be appointed chair of the board of Eutelsat Communications. D'Hinnin will succeed MICHEL DE ROSEN, who will retire from his duties as non-exec chair of the board of Eutelsat Communications at the same time (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 4/26). ... After five years and five months, Liga MX side Club América Sporting President RICARDO PELAEZ is "set to step down from his post." Since his arrival, the team has made 10 consecutive Liguilla appearances, won two Liga MX titles and back-to-back CONCACAF Champions League trophies. Pelaez said, "I leave happy, grateful, and I'll leave the doors open [to an eventual return]" (ESPN.com, 4/26). ... Turkish club Fenerbahce Manager DICK ADVOCAAT is "set to return for a third stint in charge of the Dutch national side," with RUUD GULLIT as his assistant. Advocaat would "take over from DANNY BLIND, who was sacked last month after a 2-0 defeat to Bulgaria" (AFP, 4/27).
