EPL Side AFC Bournemouth Reveals Umbro To Replace JD Sports As Kit Provider

Premier League side AFC Bournemouth announced Umbro will replace JD Sports as its kit manufacturer in a "club record deal," according to Alex Smith of the London DAILY MIRROR. Manchester-based Umbro will make the club's strip for the next five seasons. Bournemouth, which is sponsored by Mansion Casino, is "set for a third season in the Premier League." The south coast side "revealed the change of kit maker by chiseling the Umbro logo and Bournemouth badge into a giant block of sand at the Vitality Stadium." Bournemouth CEO Neill Blake said, "AFC Bournemouth is a forward-thinking, progressive club and our new partnership with Umbro, which is the biggest kit contract in our history, is the perfect example of that." Umbro already makes Everton, West Ham and Hull City's top flight kits, along with Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, Vasco da Gama of Brazil and Gamba Osaka in Japan (DAILY MIRROR, 4/26).
