The top grossing game of the year was the Copa Libertadores match between Flamengo and Argentine side San Lorenzo on March 8, which Flamengo won 4-0. The match, Flamengo's first of the year at the Maracanã, earned R$3.69M ($1.16M), with an average ticket price of R$68 ($21.41). In second place, Flamengo's 2-1 win over Paranaense on April 12, also in the Copa Libertadores and at the Maracanã, earned R$3.33M ($1.05M), with an average ticket price of R$62 ($19.52). São Paulo clubs dominate the remainder of the top 10, with "teams from Brazil’s financial capital making up the next six highest earning games." The third and fourth-highest grossing games were played last weekend in the semifinals of the Campeonato Paulista regional tournament. Palmeiras' 1-0 win over Ponte Preta at Allianz Parque on Saturday drew R$2.91M ($920,000), with an average ticket price of R$74 ($23.30). In terms of overall gross income and attendance for the year, Palmeiras "topped the list" with gross income of R$18.4M ($5.79M) on average paid attendance of 30,285 per game (RIO TIMES, 4/27).
