Marketplace Roundup: Vodafone Reunites With Supercars As Official Telecom Partner

Vodafone returned to Supercars as the official telecom partner of the competition. The partnership will be driven through Vodafone’s national and regional networks, connecting Supercars’ nationwide supporter base and helping fans connect to the sport and the network across Australia. Vodafone will assume the exclusive naming rights for the Porsche safety, course and medical cars, complementing its official telecom partner status of the '17 Supercars Championship (Supercars). 

La Liga side Valencia partnered with sports merchandise company Fanatics to operate the club’s new online store, shop.valenciacf.com. The store now provides three language choices (Spanish, English and French) and multiple currency options for purchase in local territories. A Chinese version is planned for later in the year. The deal also allows for Fanatics Branded, the company’s in-house apparel division, to create custom fan gear collections (Valencia). 

The European Tour and temperature control and power rental company Aggreko announced a new long-term partnership until '23. Aggreko has become the European Tour’s temporary power and climate control supplier, servicing multiple men’s professional golf tournaments across the world (European Tour). 

One Championship secured a partnership with Acer's gaming arm, Predator Philippines, to be the official partner of One's Kings of Destiny event in Manila. It will also sponsor one of the main card fights of the day (ASIA SPONSORSHIP NEWS, 4/21).

Thomas Cook Sport named England and Lancashire cricketer James Anderson as its brand ambassador. He will work with the sports travel firm to promote its sporting experiences, "which include the upcoming Ashes Series in Australia, Motorsport packages including the F1 Monaco Grand Prix, Premier League Match Breaks and the unique Thomas Cook Sport Terrace experience at Emirates Old Trafford" (TRAVEL DAILY MEDIA, 4/21).

Cromax was confirmed as an official sponsor of the Yamaha MotoGP team for the 2017 MotoGP World Championship, which began on March 26. Cromax has been one of the team's partners and suppliers for the MotoGP season (Cromax).
