Bowls New Zealand named sports administrator MARK CAMERON its CEO following the retirement of KERRY CLARK. Cameron comes with an "extensive sports administration background" from his previous positions as Auckland Cricket CEO, Northern Mystics Netball CEO and New Zealand Basketball League GM. Cameron "currently serves on the board of the Northern Stars netball team and is chair of Hearing Dogs New Zealand" (NEW ZEALAND HERALD, 4/19). ... Serie A side AC Milan confirmed MASSIMO MIRABELLI was appointed as sporting director. A Chinese consortium led by YONGHONG LI completed a takeover of the club last week, and the new board was confirmed the following day, with Li the new president and MARCO FASSONE as CEO (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 4/19). ... Ice hockey referee DANNY KURMANN is hanging up his skates to join the Int'l Ice Hockey Federation as an officiating manager on Oct. 1. Kurmann officiated in the Swiss National League A from '89 when he started as a linesman until this month when he called his last game in the final series (IIHF). ... Kroenke Sports & Entertainment promoted Altitude President BEN BOYLAN to EVP/partnership marketing & media sales. Meanwhile, Altitude promoted Senior VP/Production & Programming KEN MILLER to EVP, GM & exec producer (KS&E) ... Swiss Challenge League side Chiasso Manager GIUSEPPE SCIENZA was fired and immediately replaced by assistant coach BALDO RAINERI. Chiasso currently sits last in the league (24 HEURES, 4/18).
