Fox Deportes named ORLANDO SILVER senior VP/production. Silver joins Fox Deportes from Univision Deportes, where he served in a variety of roles since the net's launch in '12 (Fox). ... Vietnam Minister of Culture, Sports & Tourism NGUYỄN NGỌC THIỆN was voted president of the Vietnam Olympics Committee. He will be assisted by seven VPs during his term in office. Also, TRẦN VĂN MẠNH was re-elected as the general secretary (VIETNAM NEWS, 4/17).

COACHES/MANAGERS: A-League side Newcastle Jets sacked coach MARK JONES after the club finished the season at the bottom of the table. Jones was dismissed on Sunday, less than 24 hours after the Jets' 2-0 loss to Sydney FC (AAP, 4/16). ... Scottish Premiership side Dundee sacked Manager PAUL HARTLEY after a run of seven straight defeats. Saturday's 2-0 home loss to Hamilton left the Dens Park club in the relegation playoff position (BBC, 4/17). ... Belgian side Standard Liege "parted ways" with Manager ALEKSANDAR JANKOVIC after "disappointing results" and appointed former assistant coach JOSÉ JEUNECHAMPS on an interim basis. Standard, winners of the Belgian league 10 times, "finished ninth in the regular phase of the season" (REUTERS, 4/17).
