Event Notes: Pacquiao, Horn Reportedly Sign Fight Contract

Manny Pacquiao "could finally tackle" Australian Jeff Horn at Suncorp Stadium on July 2 after "reportedly signing a contract for the fight on Wednesday." After "playing mind games" with the undefeated Horn for weeks, Pacquiao "put pen to paper," according to his promoter, Bob Arum. There were only a few "remaining points" to be finalized "before the fight was officially announced." Australian Major Events Minister Kate Jones confirmed on social media that there had been "no deal presented to the State Government on the Pacquiao fight coming to Brisbane." Jones said, "We remain hopeful. Our offer is still on the table" (Brisbane COURIER-MAIL, 4/5).
