Marketplace Roundup: Zlatan Ibrahimovic Launches Bottled Fragrance

ManU striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic launched his second bottled fragrance this week. The Swede teamed up with U.K.-based personal grooming company Mankind "to produce the latest addition to his parfum collection," Supreme for men and women, which he created "with an assist from top perfumer Olivier Pescheux" (ESPN.com, 3/30).

Real Madrid presented its sponsorship deal with Telefónica on Thursday. The deal will run for the remainder of the current season and next season (Real Madrid).

Indian Premier League side Rising Pune Supergiants "made Motorola its team sponsor for the tenth edition of IPL," starting Wednesday. This is the "first time that the handset manufacturer will be investing in an association with an IPL team." The Motorola logo will be seen "on the front of the Rising Pune Supergiant uniform" (ECONOMIC TIMES, 3/30).

The FIA World Rallycross Championship retained energy company Total as its official lubricant partner and signed Woodland Group as its official logistics partner. The agreement with Total will incorporate additional rights including trackside branding and various activations in the paddock. Total will also receive access to race footage which will be used to create bespoke content. Woodland Group will oversee all of the championship's logistic requirements. In '17, World RX will visit three continents: Europe, North America and Africa (FIA).

The FA of Wales Trust agreed to a deal with Welsh insurance broker Watkin Davies "to provide sponsorship and insurance expertise, supporting grassroots football in Wales." As well as providing financial sponsorship, Watkin Davies will be working with the Trust to "find insurance and risk-management solutions that back its aims to raise standards and grow the game in Wales" (BUSINESS NEWS WALES, 3/30).

The Professional Squash Association announced sports marketing firm Leverage Agency as its exclusive global marketing agency. Leverage will develop and procure sponsorship opportunities for the PSA, including the potential of title sponsorship for the first time, naming rights, event sponsorship, branding rights, ambassador programs and other customized activations (PSA).

Pro12 rugby announced Independent News & Media as the official media partner of the Pro12 "Final Series" which will take place in Dublin's Aviva Stadium on May 27. The partnership will allow INM readers insights and access to the championship, including access to the closed "Captain's Runs" (Pro12).
