Marketplace Roundup: Brasileiro Side Corinthians Signs Deal With Foxlux

Brasileiro side Corinthians signed lighting and electrical goods company Foxlux as a new commercial partner. Foxlux's logo will be displayed on the lower back of Corinthians' playing shirts throughout the '17 season. Although the value of the Foxlux deal was not disclosed, club Marketing Dir Fernando Salles said that Corinthians was "sure" to reach over R$100M ($32M) in sponsorship for '17 (SOCCEREX, 3/27).

Serie B side Bari confirmed gambling company Betpoint as its new front-of-shirt sponsor "until the end of the season." Bari-based Betpoint replaced fellow bookmaker Betaland as the primary sponsor of the club. The deal is valid for the remaining eight fixtures of the '16-17 season, and will "come up for potential extension in the summer" (SOCCEREX, 3/27).

Panta Distribuzione is set to become the single fuel supplier for the first FIM Supersport 300 World Championship season, which begins this weekend at MotorLand Aragon. The Italian company is a subdivision of MOL Group Italy (World SuperSport).

CreativeRace's London office has been appointed by U.K. bike shop Evans Cycles to "handle all integrated marketing campaigns." Evans Cycles was opened in central London by cyclist Frederick Evans, who "won an award from Britain's largest cycling club for the best cycling invention of 1925." CreativeRace's first campaign for Evans Cycles is "planned to launch early April" (THE DRUM, 3/27).

New Zealand Football announced ISPS Handa will sponsor the Premiership for the next three years, with former PM John Key serving as an ISPS Handa patron and int'l ambassador. ISPS Handa is the naming rights sponsor to New Zealand Football's two premier men's competitions -- the Premiership and the Chatham Cup (NZ Football).

World ParaVolley announced a partnership with Molten to serve as the official game ball for its events until the end of '20. It is the first such deal signed by World ParaVolley (IPC).

French power company Direct Energie announced it extended its contract with Jean-René Bernaudeau’s cycling team as principal sponsor. The team will continue to be known as Direct Energie through ’19 (L’ÉQUIPE, 3/27).

Chinese telecom Huawei named French int’l Antoine Griezmann an ambassador. He will “become the face of the brand” in France for at least two years (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 3/27).
