La Liga Teams Filling Stadiums To Average Of 56.1% Of Capacity

La Liga teams were ranked as "possessing the second worst ability to fill their stadiums in major European leagues, ahead of only Portugal," according to MARCA. Far "out in front were the Premier League and the Bundesliga," which are the only two able to "boast consistently sold out grounds across their divisions." The Premier League is the leader in terms of selling tickets across major European leagues, with 94.9% of seats filled across the 20 teams. Just below is the Bundesliga. Much of that "is due to Bayern Munich," the only European club to achieve 100% attendances across the season (MARCA, 3/25). In Madrid, Jesús Garrido reported the women's game between Atlético Madrid and Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, which was held at the home of Atlético's men's team, drew a crowd of 10,642 (EL CONFIDENCIAL, 3/26).
