FA May Hire Expert To Review Tottenham-Millwall Racist Chants

A "cultural expert" could be employed by the FA to review the chanting at Tottenham Hotspur’s match against League One side Millwall "before the governing body decides whether to charge either club," according to Gary Jacob of the LONDON TIMES. Sections of the visiting supporters chanted “DVD” and “He’s selling three for a fiver” toward Son Heung-Min, the South Korean forward, while some Tottenham fans sang, “No noise from the pikey boys,” aimed at the visitors. It is not known whether referee Martin Atkinson included the incidents at White Hart Lane in his report but, "even if so, it would be deemed as extra evidence rather than a necessity for a possible charge." The FA requested observations from the police and the clubs but has "not put a timeframe on its investigation." Both clubs said that they "would assist the FA" (LONDON TIMES, 3/14).
