Media Notes: MTV Finland To Broadcast 2017 MotoGP Season

Dorna and MTV Finland announced a deal that will see the FIM MotoGP World Championship broadcast live across the country throughout '17. The new agreement sees all races and qualifying sessions this season shown live on C More linear pay-TV channels, as well as coverage being available on the SVoD service. The World Championship will be covered by MTV3 news programs and on the mtv.fl website (MotoGP).

Ginx esports TV, "the competitive video gaming channel, is now available on OSN in the MENA region." The launch is an "important milestone for both companies as this is the first 24-hour competitive video gaming channel to showcase the emerging esports phenomenon in the MENA region." Ginx esports TV, backed by Sky and ITV, will expand distribution in the region when it is made available on the OSN network beginning in March (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 3/12).

The Paris-Nice cycling event was watched by an average of 870,000 viewers over the weekend on France 3, which translated to a 9.7% market share. A peak audience of 1.2 million viewers watched Colombian Sergio Henao win the race (L’ÉQUIPE, 3/13).
