Marketplace Roundup: Newcastle United To Unveil New Main Sponsor Soon

League Championship side Newcastle United execs confirmed its "kits will be produced by Puma again next season." Designs for the new shirts "are set to be sanctioned by the club soon" and its new main kit sponsor is also to be confirmed (CHRONICLE LIVE, 3/5).

Real Madrid and CaixaBank announced an agreement in which the bank will become an official sponsor of the club through the '19-20 season. CaixaBank will be Real Madrid's exclusive partner in the banking sector in Spain and Portugal (LIBERTAD DIGITAL, 3/3).

Advance Auto Parts and the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) announced a multi-year partnership, designating Advance Auto Parts as the official automobile aftermarket parts partner of the Mexican National Team's annual U.S. tour (Advance Auto Parts). 

Nike launched a new digital tool, the Hypervenom 3 Reaction Generator, that allows football players "to showcase videos of their goals and receive unique responses from Nike’s professional athletes." The tool gives them "videos to share on social media." To get their goals into the generator, players, coaches and fans "can upload videos to the generator through Nike via their mobile phones" (THE DRUM, 3/3).

Australian Football League side Richmond's Next Generation Academy signed a three-year partnership with Plenary Group. The academy's zone covers a significant part of Victoria including the regional centers of Mildura, Swan Hill, Echuca, Bendigo, Shepparton, Wangaratta and Wodonga. Richmond also announced a partnership with Northern Football League side Bendigo Thunder Women's Football Club. The partnership will provide Bendigo Thunder's players and coaches with development opportunities with Richmond coaches, players and staff. The deal will also see the Thunder play some home games at Punt Road Oval (Richmond). 

Ligue 1 side Girondins de Bordeaux announced it extended its partnership with French energy specialist Sweetcom for three seasons. Already a back-of-shirt sponsor of the club, Sweetcom is now a major partner and will be the front-of-shirt sponsor of Bordeaux for home matches through June ’19 (Bordeaux).

A poster put out by Bayern Munich's basketball team ahead of its Eurocup game against Unicaja Malaga "has been condemned for sexually objectifying women." Putting a model's chest at the front and center of the advertisement, the club claimed to "like big cups and love big games" (MARCA, 3/5).
