Mexican Baseball League Club Diablos Rojos' Stadium 65% Complete

Mexican Baseball League club Diablos Rojos' new stadium, "which is expected to be ready by the middle of the year," will cost $60M, according to Miguel Boada Nájera of LA AFICIÓN. Some of the features include: 
  • Three "giant screens."
  • Various areas of the stadium will feature restaurants and bars offering a view of the field.
  • The stadium will be self-sustainable, with a system of rainwater capture used for the bathrooms.
  • The lights will be "energy-saving" and there will be solar panels used to store energy (LA AFICIÓN, 2/28).
65% COMPLETE: Nájera also noted there are "1,300 workers involved in the construction of the stadium." The project is 65% complete. Work on the underground parking lot, bodegas and other areas for the players, as well as the main stand, "has been completed." Engineer Felipe Díaz de León, who is leading the project, said, "The stadium will meet the demands of our LMB, but also MLB" (LA AFICIÓN, 2/28).
