Marketplace Roundup: Newcastle United's New Deal Will Not Mean Stadium Name Change

League Championship side Newcastle United "confirmed that the club's new sponsorship deal will not mean a change in the stadium's name." The Magpies are "currently in the process of negotiating a new shirt sponsor," with loan company Wonga's deal "set to end this season." But unlike the "controversial decision" to rename the stadium when Sports Direct's branding "dominated" St. James' Park a few years ago, it will not see Newcastle's home renamed (CHRONICLE LIVE, 2/25).

League Championship side Nottingham Forest "announced an extension to its sponsorship agreement with Incorporated London as the official training-wear partner" for the '17-18 season, taking it into a third year. The Inc. logo has been featured on the adidas training kit since the beginning of the '15-16 season (FC Business, 2/24).

Williams Martini Racing and construction equipment manager JCB announced a new partnership ahead of the '17 season. The agreement is one of a number that will be made following the appointment of Lance Stroll as one of the team's race drivers this year. As part of the partnership, JCB branding will appear on the Williams Mercedes FW40 chassis and rear wing end plate from the start of the '17 season (Williams F1).

Sahara Force India F1 renewed its deal with luxury design house Felio Siby as the team's official lifestyle partner throughout '17 (Felio Siby).
