A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers "banned 14 members of the Red and Black Bloc over the offensive banner displayed at the Sydney derby." The supporters will be unable to attend Wanderers games for 18 months for their role in unveiling a banner that depicted Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold "in a sex act." After being issued a show-cause notice by Football Federation Australia, the club did not wait for the findings from the governing body before "taking action against the fans." Of the 14 supporters banned by the club, several are part of the RBB's "core leadership group" (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 2/22).
Arsenal scouts were "turned away from" National League side North Ferriby United Tuesday night -- after being told the Eon Visual Media Stadium was "too full." The Gunners had hoped to send a representative to the game in order to "check up on" their FA Cup quarterfinal opponent, Lincoln City. But despite a record attendance of 2,389 football fans "cramming into the ground," Arsenal was told there was "no room in the ground for any more people" (HULL DAILY MAIL, 2/22).
